Sometimes a guitar is just a guitar…but not in the hands of Tony “Mr. Big” Mottola. This one has all the hallmarks of a wonderful Enoch Light release: dynamic stereo effects, lots of Dick Schory-style percussion and a “live” in the studio sound.

Thank you for a FABULOUS guitar album. Tony Mattola can’t be beat. My son is learning to play guitar. I am making SURE that he knows who Tony Mattola was.
Bassooner. -
have you heard tony’s “spanish guitar”. awesome!!!! one of my favorites of tony’s is “command performances” lp. his rendition of “boulevard of broken dreams” on this is so sensitive.

Tony , Was The Best Guitar Player Who Ever Lived. My Grand Father

Loved Tony’s Music. To Me Listening To Tony, Italain Coffee, I Close My Eyes It’s like Grandpa is Playing To Me again. I Miss Him He Pass away in

YES! Not only am I a Tony Mottola Fan, I’m ALSO a grandchild of Ralph Galati, (mentioned in the above email by my cousin Ralphie) who inspired my brother and I at a VERY early age to play the guitar. The first live music I was turned on to wasn’t The Beatles (although I’m a lifetime Beatles fan) but the Boogie Woogie, as played by my Grandpa on his big Gibson Archtop, and his brother Ernest on accordion. We had the best family parties in their finished basement in Brooklyn, (not to mention Grandma’s Manicotti) memories that I have cherished forever.
I’m searching for old photos of Ralph Galati to plan a painting of him. If anybody out there can help me, PLEASE email me at fro8555@aol.com. -
My name is John, I’ve been listening to Tony Mottola for over 30 years. I’m actually in the middle of converting most of the albums I have onto cd. I’ve also created a list through a website called Imeem.
If anyone wants a copy of these albums transferred onto cd, please leave me a message @Yrusonvs1010@aol.com and I’ll let you know if I have the album, and pricing. Once again these are homemade cds and I guarantee you will love the quality of the music.
