Perez Prado

The lady in the silver dress returns gracing the cover of “Great Mambos” from Perez Prado. The cover doesn’t lie folks…these are Great mambos. Sorry for the nearly month-long gap between posts, and thanks to those who have commented so far. I love hearing what people think of these.     Brilliant! I’ve been searching for that song for about 10 years after I first heard it in a Guinness screen saver (no joke). You’ve made my day! I just did the happy dance around my apartment.

    I had that screensaver too! You see Perez Prado songs turn up in a lot of places. “Cherry Pink & Apple Blossom White” is the opening song to the movie “Parents” (which received really bad reviews but is one of my favorite movies.) Also, “Skokiaan ” is the closing song in the movie “Slacker,” another one of my favorite movies. I guess if you like Perez Prado, you’re OK in my book. Glad you liked the tune!
