I was born in Mexico City. I listen to this music as a child but not just any body would listen to this music. In the town where I grew up only certain people have the ear for this music. If you like this music I must congratulate you and let you know I am so impressed specially if you are a white American, I finished growing up in California and never seen people that like this music. I don't think it really mattered that much, though, where they were. It was the fact that they weren't New York, LA or Chicago that allowed us to put our imaginations to such good use.
